Shri Dnyaneshwar mahila mahavidyalaya is founded by Shri Sai Education Society Nagpur in 2001 with the sheer aim of providing higher education to needy and poor students of South Nagpur area and nearby villages. The college is affiliated to RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. The college is situated in South Constituency of Nagpur City where we get students from poor to very poor background Most of them prefer to pursue professional training and job oriented courses to supports themselves financially. Most of the students are earning members of their family.
In Spite of such financial restraints we provide them a platform to prove their intellectual ability. When started, the college had only B.A course with six subjects viz. sociology, pol-science, Economics, Marathi, English and Home- Economics. The college is now conducting all regular and professional courses smoothly and successfully.
